This Week in HA5
April starts with one genuinely new local shift plus a few reliable plans worth leaving the house for.
Local coffee map update: Costa in Rayners Lane has now shut, which means Eastcote is currently the nearest Costa for many HA5 readers.
Forward-this pick for families: Roxbourne Railway reopens today with miniature train rides.
Midweek social anchor: Wrong Side Comedy Night at The Three Crowns is still this week's most different evening listing.

Transport
Imperial Drive resurfacing is causing temporary bus diversions on routes 398 and H12 near Village Way East and Rayners Lane. If you use either route this week, check live departures before you leave and allow a little extra journey time.
A reminder that the Metropolitan Line in partially closed between Wembley Park and Aldgate today.
Civic Updates
Milton Road development is now complete, with 36 affordable homes including 12 for social rent.
Why this matters: it is the first visible step in the wider civic centre regeneration, so expect more local planning conversations to follow.Local elections take place on Thursday 7 May 2026. Why you should care now: the registration deadline is Monday 20 April 2026, and photo ID is required at the polling station. More info
Pet of the Week
Spot the change?
This section is now for all pets, not just dogs.
A few pet parents asked if their cats could join in, and yes, absolutely. Rabbits, birds, tortoises, and other beloved companions are welcome too.
If enough of you are into it, I’ll make this change permanent.
Want your pet featured? Send one photo, their name, and one chaotic personality trait this way.

Thank you for reading Good Morning Pinner today.
