Good Morning Neighbour! ☕

Light rain tapping on the windows and a moderate breeze rustling the leaves – classic December in Pinner, keeping us cozy indoors with that extra splash in our morning cuppa.

In today's Good Morning Pinner:
→ Pedals and paths: a shiny new cycleway linking us straight to Harrow
→ Fresh dough, secret specials and delicious pizza
→ Festive jazz notes and sleigh bells on the breeze

Let’s dive in.

This Week in HA5

  • Work kicked off this week on the major Harrow to Pinner Cycleway – a game-changer for two-wheelers with safer junctions, upgraded crossings and pops of green all the way from town centre to our station. Phases roll through 2025 and 2026, so expect some buzz on Station Road and Marsh Road soon.

  • Harrow special needs school got a shiny new sponsored minibus this week, easing those daily dashes for families across the borough.

  • Planning enforcers didn't hold back: four illegal extensions across the borough came down in a day of action this week, after owners ignored several warnings. A firm reminder that rules keep our streets looking sharp.

Behind the Counter

Free spotlight this week!

Meet Zia Noori from Alexandra’s Pizzeria 🍕

Zia's been firing up the ovens at Alexandra’s since September 2024, and in just over a year, he's turned it into a HA5 go-to for pizza takeaway. "Seeing customers light up over the food is a quiet win that keeps me going," he says with a grin. "It reassures me I'm on the right track, especially when I'm hands-on in the kitchen, shaping every single pizza myself."

Regulars can't get enough of the Alexandra’s Special pizza – the signature twist he swears by – or the doner meat and chips that flies out the door. And here's the magic: Zia mixes fresh dough regularly, sourcing top-notch ingredients to nail that exceptional taste every time. No wonder folks keep coming back.

Off-duty, he's all about those familiar spots, though he's joining the rest of us in mourning Costa Pinner's recent goodbye. "I'd sneak in for an early-morning coffee whenever I could," he shares.

Pop in and tell Zia Good Morning Pinner sent you – he’ll love the shout-out!

Zia’s too shy for selfies, but he’s honestly one of the friendliest faces you’ll meet in Pinner – always up for a quick chat when you pop in!
