Good Morning Neighbour! ☕
Pinner Fair is back on Wednesday, which means funfair rides, town-centre bustle, and the ancient local tradition of remembering about the road closures slightly too late.
In today's Good Morning Pinner:

Pinner Music Festival turns 60 this year, with June dates now worth booking

Community Corner
If you have not seen them already, Pinner Village Gardens has new information boards. A nice little prompt to slow down and read the history.
Pinner Music Festival turns 60 this year. Concerts run from 8 to 13 June, with the festival raising funds for the church organ restoration. If you like local music, this is the diary nudge. Festival details
Free walking programmes are being promoted around Harrow. If you know someone who wants a gentle reason to get out, the Walking to Wellness style sessions are worth a look. Poles optional, fresh air included.
Wealdstone Youth FC is promoting June 6-a-side tournaments in Ruislip. One for the local youth teams and football parents.
Baby Bank donations are still welcome. Clean baby items in good condition can do far more good in circulation than in the cupboard you keep meaning to sort.
Hatch End Station is still looking for flower-display volunteers. Watering, planting, tidying and general station-brightening all count.
Transport
Pinner Fair road closures: For the fair, Pinner High Street, Bridge Street and nearby roads are expected to close from 3pm on Tuesday 26 May until 8am on Thursday 28 May. Buses including the H11, H12, H13 and 183 will be diverted or curtailed, and the Sainsbury's car park is expected to close during the fair setup. If you normally drive or bus through central Pinner, this is the week to be clever early. Pinner Association notice
Piccadilly line closures this week: No Piccadilly service from Hyde Park Corner to Northfields and Uxbridge until Monday 25 May, then from Acton Town to Heathrow and Rayners Lane to Uxbridge from Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 May, including Friday and Saturday Night Tube. Heathrow plans, Uxbridge plans, and “I'll just wing it” plans all need a second look. TfL planned closures
Bakerloo line weekend warning: TfL also lists no Bakerloo service from Queen's Park to Harrow & Wealdstone on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May.
Civic Updates
Harrow's Local Plan 2021-2041 has now been formally adopted. It was adopted by Full Council on Tuesday 24 March 2026, following confirmation from the Planning Inspectorate that the plan was sound, legally compliant and in general conformity with the London Plan. Local Plan page
Pet of the Week
No new pet entry this week, so the nomination gates remain wide open.
Send one photo, their name, and the most ridiculous thing they have decided is their job this way. Window security. Crumb inspector. Household emotional support manager with no HR training.
Closing
Thank you for reading Good Morning Pinner today.
If you only do one practical thing this week, plan around Pinner Fair before the High Street makes the decision for you. If you do one pleasant thing, wander through the fair and call it community research (you might just run into me).
See you next Sunday, same time, same place.
P.S. - If you found something useful, please share it with a neighbour!
