Harrow Steel opens the Pinner Memorial Park summer concert series this Sunday at 2:30pm. The Pinner Association's four-Sunday band run returns, with Stardust Big Band (2 Aug), Nimesh Sanghoi sings Bollywood (9 Aug) and Simply Gray closing on 16 Aug. The Pinner Association is looking for a few more volunteers for the summer concert series. Helping hands are wanted for setup, the welcome desk and tidy-up at each Sunday afternoon, with a short signup form to get involved. The annual Herb Walk returns to Eastcote House Gardens on Saturday 1 August, 10am. A plant-spotting and storytelling wander with herb-lore, small-batch tastings and the gentle sunshine of a walled Tudor garden. The walk is sized for curious neighbours rather than serious botanists. Volunteer call: Pinner Association Summer Concerts. Setup, welcome desk and tidy-up help needed across the four Sundays this August. Even 90 minutes makes a real difference. Pinner Association signup form
The Welcome Space continues at Pinner Village Hall on Friday afternoons through the summer. A free, gentle drop-in for older neighbours and carers, with tea, conversation and a small team of friendly volunteers. Pop in for ten minutes or stay for the full afternoon.

A quiet week out of Harrow Council, with last week's Green Flag announcement (a record 10 for the borough) still landing in neighbourhood inboxes. The council's own messaging is, for once, taking its own advice about a quiet summer.

This week's star is Pepper, an energetic ball of fluff with the glossiest coat in Pinner. Shared by Chris B.
Pepper runs a household-policy household: glossy-coat inspections at dawn, a 6am wake-up meow outside the bedroom door, and a clear view that the household begins and ends on her schedule. She is small, beautifully turned out, and absolutely certain she is in charge of the kettle.
