Civic Updates
Rayners Lane's red route has been approved as permanent after a six-month trial. The red-route parking restrictions, originally trialled to keep the A4090 running smoothly through Rayners Lane, have now been made official. Worth a quick look at the new lines on the road if you regularly park or drop off near the station. Harrow Online
Transport
This weekend: the Piccadilly line has planned upgrade works today, with no service between Cockfosters and Uxbridge until end of service. Replacement buses are running, and the Metropolitan line is unaffected, so a slow line via Baker Street is the cleaner option if you are heading into central London from Pinner.
Next weekend: no planned engineering works are flagged on the Piccadilly or Metropolitan lines for Saturday 3 or Sunday 4 October per TfL's status page. Worth a quick check the night before if your plans change.
