Good Morning Neighbour! ☕
Sea otters hold hands while they sleep so they do not drift apart. The patch has Sundays like that too, when everything just kind of stays in place.
In today's Good Morning Pinner:
A busy week for the local authorities, with four key updates from Harrow and Hillingdon councils
Sunday plans still standing: a Sound Bath in Pinner Village Hall and a Comic Workshop for kids in Ruislip
A mystery filming everyone is talking about in Pinner
Let’s dive in.

If someone forwarded this to you, you can get the Pinner updates every Sunday at goodmorningpinner.com.

Half-term is one week out. Worth pencilling Saturday 25 October into the calendar now: the Roxbourne Railway Halloween Ghost Train (1pm-4pm, £2 per ride) is one of the cheaper half-term outings in the patch.
The Travel Talks at Emmanuel Church, Northwood kicked off the Travel Club's 60th season on Friday. If you missed the opener, fortnightly Friday afternoons at 2pm is the rhythm to know about.

Community Corner
A mystery Apple TV production has been filming on Albury Drive and surrounding streets in Pinner this past week, with action vehicles, large lighting rigs and short-term traffic restrictions in place. The production name is not yet confirmed, but Pinner is no stranger to a film crew: Rocketman used Albury Drive in 2018, and a Netflix comedy with Robert Webb was on the High Street a fortnight ago. Civic Updates
Harrow Council's fireworks safety operation runs 26 October to 10 November, with evening patrols 7pm-10pm and a new webpage for residents to report concerns. Worth a look ahead of half-term. Details
A 24-bed care home at 10 Oakleigh Road, Hatch End, has been given final planning approval. The long-vacant Oakleigh House Nursing Home will be demolished and rebuilt as a 24-bedroom en-suite care facility over three storeys, with two staff units and a single shared vehicle access. Neighbours had objected over size and daylight impact. Harrow Online
Plans to convert a Harrow Weald house into a 2-bed SEN care home have been refused by Harrow Council, over the loss of a family home from housing stock and insufficient evidence of local need. Harrow Online
Three new flood-alleviation schemes have started in Ruislip. Work is already underway; specifics on the individual projects were not in the announcement. Hillingdon Council
Transport
This weekend (Sunday 11 October): The Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines are both on good service today. No planned engineering works flagged.
Next weekend (17 and 18 October): The Piccadilly line is listed for engineering works on both days. Specific sections are not yet confirmed, so do a quick live check the night before you travel. The Metropolitan line is not flagged for disruption.
Pet of the Week
Want your pet to take the highly unofficial GMP crown next week? Hit reply with one photo, their name, and the tiny household role they have appointed themselves to.
Inspiration from previous winners: Pepper the Glossy-Coat Inspector, the Junior Train Inspector at the Miniature Railway, or a certain Head of Roast-Chicken Diplomacy. Whether yours is Chief Sock Recovery Officer, Lead Investigator of Squirrel Activity, or Director of Sunrise Window Patrol, we want to hear about it.
