Good Morning Neighbour! ☕

New year, fresh starts, and Pinner is easing into 2026 with a shiny new gym on the horizon. The roads are quiet but very slippery, so drive safe.

In today’s Good Morning Pinner:

  • PureGym is opening its doors right here in Pinner this week

  • Good service on all relevant tubes and no major roadworks

  • A big funding boost for Harrow services we all rely on

Let’s dive in.

This Week in HA5

  • Busker Dan Tredget is performing as part of his journey to play at every London Underground station, raising money for charity. Today, it’s Pinner’s turn. Pop by Pinner Station between 1pm and 2pm and show your support!

  • Harrow councillors have welcomed a new £100 million funding boost from the government, a 31% increase that will result in improved housing, children's services, library hours and more right across the borough.

  • The Council has rolled out 100 new EV charging points across Harrow, making it easier for residents (especially those without driveways) to switch to electric.

  • Northwick Park Hospital's chapel is being refurbished into a welcoming multifaith space, open to all or simply as a quiet spot for reflection.

Meet the Lovely Humans

Say hello to the lovely humans at Satkaar

Jay opened Satkaar on 2nd December 2025 in Pinner to serve authentic vegetarian and vegan cuisine. “I’m passionate about making food and providing great customer service,” Jay says.

Their recipes are simple, healthy, and full of flavour. At Satkaar, food is more than nourishment. It reflects respect, gratitude, and connection. When food is made with care, it nourishes not just the body but the soul.

When off duty, Jay enjoys walking along Pinner High Street or exploring local parks.

Stop by Satkaar this week to taste food made with heart and meet Jay and the team.

Civil News

Harrow Council has launched a consultation on its draft budget, seeking residents' views on proposed changes:

  • Council tax to rise by 4.99%

  • Fees for parking, planning support and commercial waste up by 4.5%

  • Garden waste charges frozen at 2024 rates

These will help close a £9.7 million shortfall, so have your say before it's finalised. Respond to the consultation here.
