Good Morning Neighbour! ☕

A day on Venus is longer than a year there. Imagine Monday lasting longer than the entire calendar.

In today’s Good Morning Pinner:

  • One-hour free parking scheme goes permanent

  • Two meetups for local business owners

  • Metropolitan Line partial closure

Let’s dive in.

- Chinar

If someone forwarded this to you, you can get the Pinner updates every Sunday at goodmorningpinner.com.

This Week in HA5

  • Harrow Council's one-hour free parking scheme is now permanent. This is one of the most generous parking schemes in London.
The council currently offers one hour free parking in 13 car parks across the borough, along with all on-street pay and display bays. Chapel Lane, Love Lane, and Grimsdyke Road car parks in Pinner are covered by this scheme. West House car park is partially covered, with the first 30 minutes free. It’s worth noting that the free parking can only be used once per day, provided an active parking session is obtained.

  • Roxbourne Miniature Railway opens soon after the winter break. More details next week.
By the way, they are still looking for volunteers. If you are in the business of putting a smile on someone's face in your free time, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Local Business News

The Pinner Women in Business meetup is back this week at The Whittington. If you run a business in or around Pinner, I highly recommend joining this group. Sarah from Cruze Financial Solutions will give a short talk on the importance of financial planning for women. Register here.

Transport

  • The Metropolitan Line will be partially closed between Baker Street and Aldgate again next weekend. Since this does not significantly disrupt journeys, aside from a minor train-change inconvenience, the Metropolitan Line streak continues to Week 7.

  • The Piccadilly Line is expected to run normally.

Dog of the Week

(Something to cheer you up even more after reading about the good service next week.)

Say hi to Nala!
📸 LNC Walks

This week’s spotlight goes to the utterly lovely Nala.

When Nala first joined us at LNC, she arrived as a quiet, slightly timid soul, taking in the world at her own careful pace. New environments and new faces can feel overwhelming, and she approached it all with gentle caution and those big, thoughtful eyes.

With patient structure, consistent guidance, and plenty of positive experiences, Nala has truly blossomed. She now engages beautifully on her walks, and her confidence is growing every day.

Underneath that stunning caramel coat is the softest, kindest heart. Nala is affectionate, sweet-natured and incredibly loyal once she trusts you. She’s a quiet achiever. The kind of dog who doesn’t demand the spotlight but absolutely deserves it.
