Good Morning Neighbour! ☕
Did you know roughly two-thirds of emails never get opened? That’s why I want to thank you for opening this one :)
In today’s Good Morning Pinner:
Bus stop closures on Marsh Road
Improvement works at West Harrow Park
Piccadilly line closure
Let’s dive in.
- Chinar
This Week in HA5
Cycleway works on Marsh Road have begun. If you drive through there, allow extra time for your journey because it takes a while to get through the single-file traffic.

It takes a while to get through this!
Pinner Library and Pinner Station (in front of Indulge) bus stops are closed due to the cycleway roadworks. I spoke to some contractors on site, and they expect the bus stops to be closed for at least the next couple of weeks. Worth keeping in mind if you use the Cecil Park exit to access these bus stops.
Meet the Lovely Humans
Say hello to the lovely human at Pianobeats
Marek founded Pianobeats in 2019, starting with just a few children from local families in and around Pinner. Word spread naturally, and some of those very first students are still with him today, now playing beautifully and with real confidence.

Marek from Pianobeats
His philosophy is simple: fun first, technique second. When children genuinely enjoy learning, progress becomes almost inevitable. Marek speaks warmly about the connection with families and the way music changes the atmosphere at home. The Christmas and summer recitals, often held at St John the Baptist Church, have become a small but meaningful community tradition, giving students the chance to perform and recognise how far they’ve come.
There’s more on the horizon too. Daytime piano lessons for adults are now available, and Marek is developing a new programme for 3-4-year-olds, a playful, confidence-building introduction to music before formal lessons begin.
And then there’s the coffee. Marek really loves his coffee. Eastcote Gardens is a favourite spot for a lunch break, but he will tell you without hesitation that nothing beats his homemade brew. Armed with a moka pot and milk frother, he takes his coffee seriously and insists any true coffee lover should try the setup. On this, I completely agree.

Civic Updates
Major improvement works are underway at West Harrow Park and will continue into spring, focusing on better-connected entrances, improved accessibility, safer pathways, upgraded inclusive play areas, and landscaping to reduce water pooling. The works form part of Harrow Council’s parks capital programme to keep green spaces safe, accessible and welcoming for all.
Applications for Phase 2 of Harrow Council's Buildings Back to Life close on Monday 2 March at midnight. They are also accepting proposals from businesses based in the neighbouring boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Hillingdon and Ealing.

Community Corner
I attended the weekend concert by the Royal Naval Volunteer Band at Pinner Methodist Church (post on Instagram coming soon), a wonderful evening of music delivered by talented volunteer musicians. I have reached out to the Conductor for future events.
The band is currently recruiting, particularly clarinet players, so if you play (or know someone who does) and fancy shiny shoes and a very smart hat, this could be your moment.

Thank you all for the wonderful evening!
Lost and Found
Jamie Lowe has sadly lost a phone near Jubilee Close, by the Tesco machine in Pinner.
The phone contains precious family photos from his son’s wedding and other important memories. The phone itself isn’t the main concern; it’s the photos that mean everything.
If found, a reward will be given.
If you have any information, please get in touch so we can help reunite these memories with their owner.
Transport
The Metropolitan Line will be partially closed between Baker Street and Aldgate. Given this does not significantly disrupt journeys, aside from a minor train change inconvenience, the Metropolitan Line streak continues to Week 6.
The Uxbridge branch of the Piccadilly Line is closed next weekend. This includes the Friday and Saturday night tube service. Replacement buses are available.
Dog of the Week

Say hi to Coco!
📸 Spoilt Rotten Pinner
Meet Coco, the beautiful American Cockerpoo belonging to the owner of Spoilt Rotten Pinner. She’s got a very sweet nature and an impressive ability to detect a treat from just about anywhere.
Her signature move is “the stare” – one look and you’ll find yourself reaching for the treat jar without much resistance. And if there’s a wrapper anywhere in the room, she’ll appear instantly, as if summoned. A very deserving Dog of the Week.
