Good Morning Neighbour! ☕
Honey never spoils. Archaeologists have tasted honey from ancient tombs and it was still edible. So that jar in the back of your cupboard might be the most reliable thing in your kitchen.
In today’s Good Morning Pinner:
Applications for the annual Wheelbarrow Race are open
New “Welcome to Pinner“ signs in the neighbourhood
Local elections are coming up in May
Let’s dive in.

Community Corner
The new “Welcome to Pinner” signs have landed, and they look great. Small wins that make the high street feel even more like home.
Transport
The Metropolitan Line is partially closed between Baker Street and Aldgate today.
No planned engineering works on the Metropolitan Line in the upcoming week, which brings our Metropolitan Line streak to Week 8.
Not a lot of happy news on the Piccadilly Line front. The Uxbridge branch is closed next weekend. This includes the Friday and Saturday night tube service. Replacement buses are available.
Civic Updates
SEND Life Pathways to Employability Fair. Harrow Council is promoting a fair for young people with SEND aged 14-25, with education, employment and support opportunities.
Dog of the Week
(Something to cheer you up after reading about the service disruptions coming next week.)

Say hi to Chewy!
📸 LNC Walks
This week’s Dog of the Week goes to the one and only Chewy, our little Shih Tzu with a very big personality. Chewy may be small, but he certainly keeps up with the big dogs on our walks.
Whether he’s splashing through muddy puddles or trotting along the trail with his friends, Chewy approaches every adventure with enthusiasm and charm. When Chewy really gets going, you’d swear you were watching Speedy Gonzales – he absolutely zooms across the field! But as the walk comes to an end, he has a clever tactic… slowing right down in the hopes that the fun might last just a little longer.
Chewy is a true happy chappy, and his playful spirit and cheeky character bring so much joy to our walks. We’re very lucky to have him as part of the LNC family.
