Good Morning Neighbour! ☕
Daylight is breaking at 7am again. Mornings finally feel less bleak.
Fun fact: if you type "Google in 1998" into Google, the results look exactly like the early days of Google. No mention of AI, no ads. Good old days? I wouldn't know. I wasn't old enough to be on the internet then.
In today’s Good Morning Pinner:
Harrow to Pinner Cycleway works underway
Pinner Library bus stop temporary closure
February 2026 half-term activities loading
Let’s dive in.

This Week in HA5
Harrow to Pinner Cycleway is getting real
Those who joined Good Morning Pinner in the early days might remember I mentioned works beginning for the cycleway in GMP #2. Works for the Pinner section are starting tomorrow.

Road works and bus stop closure notice
An advance notice for a six-week road closure has been up for the past few days on the Marsh Road and Eastcote Road intersection. Pinner Library bus stop will remain closed during this time. If you usually exit Pinner station via the Cecil Park exit to catch a bus home, use the main exit instead to access the Pinner station bus stop.
I did not see a closure sign on the Pinner station bus stop opposite Pinner Synagogue, so journeys to the station will likely remain unaffected.
Meet the Lovely Humans
Say hello to the lovely human at Cyurable
Alka Suralia grew up in Pinner and has recently moved back, with this area being her home for over 30 years. Through Cyurable, she brings professional massage therapy directly to people’s homes, allowing clients to relax and recover without leaving their comfort zone.

Alka from Cyurable Massage
What Alka loves most is seeing the shift in people. How tense and drained they feel before a treatment, and how calm and grounded they are afterwards. For her, massage is not a luxury. It is about creating a safe space to heal, realign, and reconnect the mind and body.
Massages are for more than just relaxation. They help restore muscle function, manage stress, and improve performance. Alka adds extra layers of healing by offering free sound therapy and aromatherapy. As a Shotokan Karate black belt with a background as a dancer, she understands how easily we lose connection with our bodies and how powerful it is to regain it.
Her top tip: Stress and trauma are stored in your muscles. Releasing that tension can feel like a literal weight lifted off your shoulders. Health really is wealth.
When she is not working, you will find Alka at Esquires Coffee Pinner or enjoying a walk around Pinner Memorial Park, especially the café in the park.
Alka’s mission is simple. Help people slow down, manage stress, and reconnect with themselves before burnout takes over.
